As of December 3 I will be renaming Waking Up Washington and social media channels to the Salty Activist. If you haven’t yet subscribed please do:
I’ve worked for more than a decade in web design and development. This is helpful, when we need a new site on the fly for projects like reinstating Scott Miller’s medical license or promoting the Clark County medical freedom petition. But it also means I’ve spread a lot of information over a lot of websites over the past year. Everything will come to rest here moving forward, including my blog (formerly PalmersJournal.com), the Well Washington content, the Employees for Informed Consent information, and any new activism that I used to do as Waking Up Washington.
The truth is that the season for “waking up” our fellow Washingtonians has passed. While more will join us in the months to come, I’m finding that most of us were already awake to some degree… we have just been activated, educated and mobilized at different times.
Meanwhile, there’s only so much we can do in Olympia until issues are fixed at the national level (for instance, what does it even mean to be a Republican?) and at the local level – by reclaiming our communities, churches and local governance.
Because of personal factors, I’m not sure that I’ll be able to stay in this state in 2022. But I’m also not sure that it matters where any of us live in the coming months. The battle for freedom will be present no matter where we are. It’s really a question of finding out who the players are in our area, and honing our skills to communicate, persuade and push back.
With that in mind, as a Salty Activist, I will be focusing on empowering and educating y’all so that we can grow stronger, together. This will involve classes, articles and resources. Let’s stay in touch, here.
You don’t need to take any action unless you want to keep receiving the eNewsletter, in which case you can subscribe here:
13You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its savor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
14You are the light of the world. A city on a hillb cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
